Zimmer Group receives EcoVadis bronze medal

Zimmer Group has been awarded the bronze medal by EcoVadis for the first time. With 64 points, the company is one of the highest-rated organizations and significantly above the industry average. The award confirms the systematic expansion of sustainability management along the entire value chain.

EcoVadis, the world's leading provider of sustainability ratings, has awarded Zimmer Group this distinction following a comprehensive evaluation process. The assessment is based on four key topics: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. With a total score of 64 out of 100 points, Zimmer Group is clearly positioned in the “advanced” segment and above the average of comparable companies worldwide.

Targeted further development in all areas of activity

Environment: The Zimmer Group impresses in the area of the environment with stable results and consistent further development of its management systems. Certifications according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, as well as transparent reporting on energy, emissions (Scope 1–3), water, and waste, underline the structured approach to increasing resource and energy efficiency.

Labor and human rights: The introduction of ISO 45001, the expansion of occupational health and safety programs, and further developed HR standards led to a significant increase in the rating in this area.

Ethics: Compliance structures, guidelines, and training programs were also further refined in the area of ethics. Optimized processes for data protection and whistleblower systems strengthen the transparency and integrity of the company.

Sustainable procurement: Zimmer Group made the most progress in sustainable procurement. With a binding Supplier Code of Conduct, risk-based analyses in the supply chain, and targeted sustainability training in purchasing, the foundation for responsible partnerships was further strengthened.
